All new CTE Internship students who will be joining the program 2nd semester, there is a mandatory meeting on Thursday, January 5 in Room 236 during 2nd hour. You will be marked school business for your 2nd hour.

Congratulations to our boys swim and dive team and our girls basketball teams who all won yesterday. That is a great way to go into our break. The varsity girls came back from being down by 8 with 4 minutes to go in the game. Great job.

Yesterday's holiday trivia question was: In The Polar Express, who can hear the bell ring? The answer was only those who truly believe. Anisa Shyti answered first again, amazing, but in order to spread the holiday cheer a prize will be given to the next fastest answerer, Zachary Pollick. Thanks for playing.

Today is a ½ day of school and we will follow a speed schedule and attend all 6 classes. The marching band will parade through our halls at the start of 6th hour. Dismissal is at 10:33.

Enjoy your holiday break!  We will return to school on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Shortly after the conclusion of announcements we will hold an Avoid, Deny, Defend drill.  Clinton Township Police are here to help with the drill. To begin the drill we will activate one of our blue pull stations. This will initiate an announcement to lockdown. At that point you will avoid or deny, which means evacuate or lockdown in your classroom. That decision is made based on the information that you have available to you at the time. The most likely response is to lockdown and to barricade the door, but some classrooms may have a clear exit route and choose that option. Some cones have been place around the building to represent a threat to be avoided. The drill will end when your classroom is unlocked and an announcement is made.

This concludes our Avoid, Deny, Defend drill. At this time we need to take one additional step with a focus on keeping our hallways and classrooms safe and that is removing coats. Any student still wearing a coat should be sent to their locker at this time.
