Vaping in teens and young adults is on the rise.  According to the CDC, approximately 1 in 5 teens currently use vapes and/or e-cigarettes.  Please be advised that vaping in school not only results in school discipline as outlined below, but also a civil infraction fine from the Clinton Township Police Department.  Vaping and all tobacco products are illegal for individuals of any age on school property.

First offense: 3 days Suspension, a fine and mandatory student assistance intervention;

Second Offense: 5 day Suspension, a fine with additional student assistance work;

Third Offense: 7 day Suspension and a fine.

Please help convey the dangers of vaping at home not only for their physical well-being but the consequences at school and through the police department.
